I got Adobe Premire Pro from a friend who just got the newest one... (lucky guy ) well this friend of my is gone on vacation, and didn't drop of the manual like he said, so I need some help. The only thing I can't figure out (for now at least, I havn't even scratched the surface of this program yet) is how to draw in muzzle flashes on my characters guns... that is one of the big reasons why I coughed up the cash for this program (that and the three channels of audio is just sweet)... so if anyone could at least point me to the right menu button I would apreciate it...

There's a good tutorial on Matt Hawkins' site...
How To Create Gun/Muzzle Flashes
I think its for Premiere 6, but the principles should be the same.

also I was thinking (look out now...) I wonder if anyone has tried creating a "blood mist" with this program... I think it would be possible, what do you guys think, has it/can it be done?

Although Premiere Pro is slowly getting there, in terms of visual effects and filter plugins.
I'd recommend using After Effects for all shots you need composition work doing, and use Premiere Pro for the editing/structural work.
Check out Creative Cow or After Effects Channel for some tutorials.
ALSO: If you want to do 'blood mist', try creating a small amount of fractical noise - colouring it red. I'll let you know if I find a tutorial.
